Imaging Technologies and Software
Multi-modal, non-invasive imaging (fMRI, uPET, CT, SPECT)
Dr. Domanico’s department developed a suite of longitudinal, multi-modal, molecular imaging platforms. They successfully delivered imaging tools across many therapeutic areas within GSK. These real-time imaging platforms help scientists understand the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic relationships of compounds at the target, pathway, and organ levels.
RoboImage
Dr. Domanico’s team developed RoboImage, a suite of in vitro imaging tools to analyze images from fully formatted assays (microtiter plates assays), from partially formatted assays (DNA gels for transposon mapping), and from unformatted assays (lawn-based melanophore assays). RoboImage and its progeny are used by several biotech companies throughout the US.
Homogeneous Time Resolved Fluorescence (HTRF) and Electrochemiluminescence (ECL)
Dr. Domanico created partnerships with several major tool companies to develop methods based on novel in vitro imaging approaches. He developed some of the first fully automated 96 and 386 well plate-based high throughput screens for both HTRF and ECL.
