About Dr. Paul L. Domanico

Dr. Domanico has over twenty years of experience in drug discovery, technology development, and executive management with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and E.I. du Pont de Nemours. He has a demonstrated record of vision, leadership, and creativity and has established strong partnerships within the pharmaceutical industry, with US and foreign universities, and with a wide variety of biotechnology firms.

From 2000 through February 2007, Dr. Domanico was Vice President for Technology Development for GSK Research and Development in the US, where he developed and implemented a corporate technology portfolio. He established an outstanding record of delivering innovative technologies and new business concepts.

Dr. Domanico serves on the Board of Directors or Scientific Advisory Board for several biotechnology companies. He is a regular lecturer at The University of North Carolina, Kenan-Flagler Business School’s Center for Entrepreneurial Studies. Dr. Domanico holds a PhD in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Medicine from Penn State University. He received his post-doctoral training in Molecular Biophysics at E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Co.

Dr. Domanico has extensive experience:

1. •developing and implementing corporate technology portfolios,
   

2. •designing, developing, and implementing innovations that have transformed
   drug discovery and drug development,
   

3. •leading large, international, multidisciplinary teams through all phases of
   technology development and delivery,
   

4. •applying knowledge of drug discovery, chemistry, biology, and IT, and
   

5. •creating joint ventures and new companies.
